something interesting (for me) to read

Below are the interesting information that I get after doing some google-ing activity.. Well, after all he is an interesting guy to start with

How do you describe yourself?

Happy, open-minded, love to learn new things, wanted to do something different, passionate about things that I like.

What do you want to be when you’re still a child? why?

A doctor because I can take care of my family

What makes you work in this field? Why?

I had a bad experience in my relationship life. When I was trained on SRHR Module, I found out that all young people must have been exposed to Comprehensive Sexuality Education to be empowered and to make an informed choice for a better life and also to be responsible for their self and others.

How long have you been work within your MA?

2 years

What is your role within your MA?

As a youth volunteer and to educate young people on SRHR and also assist the MA with youth project

What project in FRHAM that you have been involved and what’s your role within the project?

In March 2010, I had been proposed to be a Youth Coordinator to run a IPPF SALIN+ Project Funded by Dutch Government, Actually I did not have enough information and education about SRHR, but I learn a lot when I run this project, I design a Flyers and sign board for Youth Friendly Centre, me and my team set up the YF Corner, I design a referral card for young people, assisted young people to clinics and trained many of indigenous and marginalised young people on SRH

What is the ideal world for young people’s SRHR that you imagine and could be realistic within your country?

It will be good if Malaysian educational system can implement Comprehensive Sexuality Education in all level of education starting from kindergarten, elementary school, high school and tertiary education. Aside from that, it would be better if there is CSE program for young parents and newlywed couple, as well as for government and private company employees

What is the biggest challenge in working with your MA?

The challenge is to create a safe space for all young people to make a right decision related to their SRH needs, and to advocate parents and teachers to respect young people’s SRHR

What is the most memorable moment during working with your MA

Met a lot of friends and experience working together with adult volunteers

What specific issue in youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights that interest you most? Why?

Advocacy: It is a tough job to advocate people, different country got different culture and mindset, so we can’t easily implement a same advocacy strategy. Therefore, we must study the country context before we do advocacy. And it is a hard work.

Mention 3 famous people that you want to meet and what question will you ask to her/him?

  1. L `arc en ceil – A famous Japanese Band: how do you research and compose great songs?
  2. Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohammad: how do you ruled Malaysia during term being a prime Minister?
  3. Steven Spielberg: Do you want to be my mentor?
